Just shy of 30,000 miles after 14 months.

And hey guess what, my VW has all of two hours of that time at the dealer (for routine service).

It's what makes us us, us.

edit: I don't know why there are three 'us' in there.

But it sounds better to me than two.

I don't drive much at all. After 14 months with my then new Escape, I only have 3800 miles. I need to take a trip.

My commute is about 20 miles, but I also do a lot of weekend trips.

I suppose. Although my grandma doesn't understand how I can put so many miles on a car without having anywhere to go....

Its relaxing to get out and drive, just you the car and the road. No phone, no one asking for stupid shit. Some peace and quiet on a back road flowing corner to corner. God damn, I need my car back....

I think it has to do with traveling. It's an alternative to going by foot or airplane. The ability to not be stuck in one place forever.

The thing is I never travel, I moved to Mass which wasn't a big move, just a state south. And the farthest I've taken the Cobalt was to Rhode Island, most of my driving was just aimless and random roads I wanted to see when I was bored or needed to relax/
